Treatment
Chemotherapy
In early stages, removal of cancer by hepatectomy(removal of that part of involved liver) is done. In select cases, with small cancers non surgical techniques like radiofrequency ablation is also done. In patients who has liver failure along with cancer, transplantation may be considered. In very advanced stages only chemotherapy or targeted treatment is given.
Surgeries are performed by using open, laparoscopy and robotic techniques.
